Hiking, being outdoors, soaking up the sun, the views and sounds of nature are some of my favorite things. Having two older pups who can’t hike more than a few miles at a time, I tend to explore some watershed trails without them. Day hikes are usually preferable, anywhere from 2-10 miles so I can get back to my favorite pups.
I’ve had a basic off brand hiking backpack from Amazon for a while now but the material is deteriorating and one of the zippers is broken. I decided that for Christmas this past year I’d get a bigger and higher quality daypack. After some extensive research I found the Osprey Tempest 20 (women’s) and the Osprey Talon 22 (men’s) ranked at the top.
Pros:
- Overall look is sleek and sexy
- Super durable
- Ventilated and padded back
- Hipbelt pockets
- Supportive frame
- Spots for organizations
- External hydration sleeve
- Comes in 5 different colors
Cons:
- A bit of an investment/ higher price point.
I am super happy with this Osprey backpack, I can tell it will last me for years to come! It has also inspired me to get some more hiking in this year, I can’t wait to utilize all new the pockets and features.
